Thermostatic radiator valve consists of a thermostatic element and a valve body. On rising room temperature , the pressure in the bellows to rise so that the resulting bellow force closes the valve and shuts off hot water flow to the radiator. On falling room temperature, the opposite process takes place. the pressure falls and bellows is pressed back by the setting spring so that the valve opens to allow hot water flow to the radiator.

This regulation is performed automatically by thermostatic radiator valves as frequently as is necessary to maintain the set temperature.
